Opening it’s doors on the thriving Dixon Road in Sydney’s China Town, Yebisu Bar and GrillĀ is well known for its trendy tapas-like dishes steeped in traditional methods of cooking, making it a modern day Izakaya.
Miso Ramen $16.80
This steaming bowl of goodness was full of umami flavour, with silky noodles and tender slices of pork. Perfect for these cold winter nights we’ve been having.
Today’s Sashimi Main 18 piece $29.90
Oh how I love a good plate of sashimi! This was super fresh with a gorgeous variety of salmon, tuna, scallop, kingfish, prawn and snapper. Plates like this really emphasise the Japanese saying that food should look as good as it tastes.
My favourite part of Yebisu Izayaka was the sake cart. You can choose which you like from a nice array of testers. Sweet or dry! Once you choose one you like, they ring the bell and yell āsake!ā
Assorted Yakitori
Cooked on the robata grill, these skewers were absolutely mouthwatering. Wagyu beef literally melted in our mouths, tender chicken morsels, sticky pork belly, and the most amazing enoki mushrooms wrapped in tender beef. These are definitely worth ordering.
What a fantastic night at Yebisu Bar and Grill! From the buzzing atmosphere, the amazing decor, the plethora of drinks and the sensational food this is one eatery we will absolutely be returning to.
