Burgers at Saltie. Surry Hills

As a Surry Hills frequenter I am always on the look-out for somewhere new and quirky to try. As the new kid on the block, bringing something delicious to the market is a must if you want to make your mark notorious in Surry Hills. What attracted me instantly and what I couldn’t go past trying was their “coconut coffee” – coconut water with a shot of espresso to pour over. Refreshing, light and the perfect hangover cure for my sore Saturday morning head.

We then opted for all three burgers, because why not? The Salties Fried Chicken burger was a delicious combination of slaw, fried chicken, pickles and their house made garlic sauce.

The cheeseburger served was everything we wanted it to be. Juicy beef, cheddar, pickled mayo and lettuce. A classic done very well. The Veggie cheeseburger was a real surprise, with the mushroom pattie almost meaty. Make sure you get all these with a side of crispy fries.

Definitely try their poke bowls, perfect for an easy lunch, made up of salmon, brown rice, shallots, sea salt and sesame oil! For a quick, healthy delish bowl of goodness that doesn’t break the bank ($12 for lunch – winner).

You seriously need to check this place out. It’s located right in the heart of Surry Hills and is a great place for an easy and delicious meal.
