We started with these delicious oysters, half natural, half venetiana, a dressing of tangy vinegarette, diced cucumber and opulent salmon roe. While I do like a little pizzazz to an oyster, nothing beats that el naturale taste.
Bucatini saffron infused long pasta, Moreton Bay bugs, cherry tomatoes, lemon oil 30
The bucatini saffron infused long pasta with Moreton Bay bugs, cherry tomatoes and lemon oil is a must have main. The union of the subtle flavour and aroma of the saffron combined with fresh local produce have created the finest Italian dish.
Petto d’ Anatra | Duck breast, peaches, rhubarb, macadamia nuts, balsami 43
A real winner of a dish. The duck was perfectly cooked, with nice layers of meat, fat and crispy skin. The rich flavours of the duck were perfectly balanced by the fresh summery peaches and the sharp tang from the balsamic.
Wagyu 49 Rangers Valley Wagyu chuck tail MB 5+, green asparagus, corn, mushroom salsa 49
What a beautiful piece of meat! Cooked medium rare to allow for that moreish marbeling to render and make that meat extra juicy and tender. A great dish but I was left wondering, where was the mushroom salsa?
Cheese please! Not a big sweet guy myself, I love a good cheese dessert! I chose the Taleggio ‘Quadrello’ from Lombardy, Italy. A pungent, savoury rind on the outside and a smooth, semi soft texture inside and a Gorgonzola Piccante Cow’s. A strong and pungent cheese with a spicy bite due to rich veins of blue-green mould. The finish is smooth with hints of cream and sweet milk. Both are a tad stinky, but Ive always thought the smellier the better when it comes to cheese.
Panna Cotta |Seep milk yoghurt panna cotta, strawberry sorbet, blackberry granita, fresh berries, chocolate 19
Still need a little something to hit that sweet spot? This pannacotta did the trick with it’s ‘light as air’ texture and bold flavours.
