We’ve been clamoring to get our hands on Prince Harry, Miss Elizabeth and The King –but we’re not talking about the actual people. Instead, we’re talking about the mouth watering burger creations coming out of Dani Zeini’s kitchen. Yup, that’s right! Melbourne favourite, Royal Stacks, has finally gone interstate and opened in Westfield Chatswood.
Dani Zeini is an absolute burger legend with stints at Grand Trailer Park, Easey’s, Truck Stop Deluxe and Motorhome Magestic. This time around the focus is on American-style burgers made from locally sourced ingredients. While we wouldn’t call it healthy eating, it’s definitely a couple of steps above the typical burger. Royal Stacks uses low-starch bread, pasture-fed, GMO and hormone-free beef and condiments are made in-house (including the drool worthy truffle mayo).
“I’ve been obsessed with US burger culture for several years. Bringing this kind of culture to Australia but focusing on ethically and locally sourced ingredients is something I’ve always been excited about,” Zeini says.
The burger standout is without a doubt The King that boasts a mac and cheese croquette. The Miss Elizabeth with rich truffle mayo and Prince Harry that comes with shallot and gherkin mayo also warrants a must-try.
Alternatively, you can grab a single stack and load it up will all your favourite extras. And don’t forget to order a side of potato gems! Aside from serving up kickass burgers, Royal Stacks has partnered up with Mark Mariotti of 7 Apples to create three Sydney-exclusive frozen custard flavours. Cap off your meal with a Nutella Swirl, Ferrero Rocher or cookie dough frozen custard. They’re so good that we wouldn’t recommend sharing.
