Bringing the city of Naples to Sydney, Casa Ristorante Italiano is located at the iconic waterfront at King Street Wharf. It’s open terrace intertwines both the cobbled streets of Napoli and the modern architecture of Sydney.
S&S – vanilla, vodka, apple and passionfruit 17
Starting off with Casa’s signature cocktails, the bright colour of the S&S is inviting for those who love a light and fruity cocktail.
Arancini – risotto, pumpkin, peas, capsicum, smoked mozzarella, chili mayonnaise 17.90
We started with these beautiful arancini balls which offered a crispy outer layer and a creamy taste melting in our mouths. The chili mayonnaise complemented the dish and definitely brought some balance into the texture of the dish.
Aragosta & Granchio Ravioli – lobster, crab, shellfish butter sauce 29.90
The chef’s homemade ravioli filled with lobster and crab was doused with a creamy shellfish butter sauce. With big portions of ravioli offered, it was a very flavoursome and filling dish.
BBQ Chicken Pizza – marinated chicken, mushroom, BBQ sauce, mozzarella 15
Casa offers daily lunch specials from 11:30am till 5:30pm with a wide selection to choose from. Of course, it was only suitable that we order a pizza at an Italian restaurant! With a generous filling of BBQ sauce, the melted cheese left us craving for more.
Frutti Di Mare – scallops, citrus infused prawns, smoked salmon, rocket 28.90
Look at that salmon and scallops! We definitely received value and a great balance of flavours.
Rib Eye (300g) – roasted parsnip, baby carrots, mushroom jus 37.90
This prime Angus beauty is defatted, char-grilled and served with generous sides. The rib eye was tender with the mushroom jus enriching the taste.
Vegetarian Mixed Ravioli – garlic potato, beetroot in pink sauce, basil, croutons 15.9
As a very vegetarian friendly restaurant, this ravioli was unique as it offers four types: mushroom, garlic potato and basil and ricotta. Definitely a dish to order off their special lunch menu!
Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee – Chocolate snap, pistachio 12
Last but not least, dessert time! Definitely the homemade desserts at Casa were our absolute favourite! By now, we were already so full but we couldn’t give up the opportunity to try their homemade desserts.
The creme brûlée was so soft, rich and melts in your mouth. For those who like a bit of crunch, the chocolate snap provides the perfect texture to balance with the delicate creme brûlée. Yum!
Classic Tiramisu 12
This tiramisu balanced all the flavours perfectly with the coffee taste at the base. Topped off with fresh strawberries, it is a highly recommended menu item.
