Crown Street Fish Shop, your classic fish and chips joint with a TWIST.
Think barramundi burgers, salmon fish pies, massive tiger prawns, lobster mac n cheese (seriously good stuff), loads of oysters and popcorn shrimp. Salivating yet?
There’s also a wagyu cheeseburger and hotdog on the menu, just in case for those people out there that want to visit a fish and chip shop and not actually order fish and chips. You know who you are!
Located in Surry Hills, among the sea of restaurants and cafes on Crown Street, this nautical themed restaurant will get you hook, line and sinker. It’s a mix between industrial and modern, decked out in hanging ropes and portholes. The way it works: order up front at their counter, receive a numbered fishing rod and sit at one of their cool, blue communal tables and await eagerly.
– Monday nights $1 OYSTERS (till they run out).
– Lobster Roll with Chips or Salad $18
– Bao Street Buns (any 3 for $15) add Chips $4
– LUNCH BURGER COMBO with Chips & Beer/Wine/Soft Drink $15
– Coronas and a bucket of prawns for $40
As you can see, this ain’t your average fish n chip shop.
