Located in one of Sydney’s most popular districts, and sitting in a prime location between Darling Harbour and The Star Casino, 84 Union St is a popular venue among locals offering an array of Australian and international classics with an Asian twist, served tapas-like, to be shared and enjoyed with friends.
Head chef Richie Dia, well known in Sydney’s food scene, launched 84 Union St last December. Originally from Japan, Dia has helped shape the bar scene, bringing it to the next level, thanks to his experience in fine dining.

Wok tossed Street style Pad Thai $14.90
It isn’t always easy to get a good Pad Thai. It’s often too-sweet, or the noodles are overcooked and too rubbery. Head Chef Richie Dia delivers this Street Style Pad Thai, by following the recipe and ingredients from what you would find at those street food vendors in Thailand, and the result was magnificent, making the umami really pop. Thin rice noodles wok tossed in tofu, egg, bean sprouts, shallots, tamarind sauce, palm sugar and oyster sauce with toasted peanuts, chilli and a fresh lime wage on the side.
Wagyu beef burger $17.90
Perfectly cooked, this mouthwatering wagyu beef patty comes with smoky and crispy bacon on brioche, packed with all the good stuff (lettuce, tomato, caramelised onion, tasty cheese and tomato relish) and accompanied by amazingly golden and crunchy beer battered chips. This burger and chips combo will not leave you disappointed.
Beluga Vodka Moscow Mule $20
Beluga vodka mixed with mint leaves and topped with ginger beer.
Pornstar Martini $18
Vodka, vanilla liquor, fresh passionfruit and lime juice served straight up.
Home made Chocolate brownie, Vanilla ice cream and Pistachio Brittle $12.90
We finished in glory with this melt-in-your-mouth warm chocolate brownie and vanilla ice cream, paired with an exquisite pistachio brittle. A trio worth trying!
