I used to say that Bungalow 8 is right at the end of Darling Harbour, but now I can say it’s right in-between Darling Harbour and Barangaroo! With all the added foot traffic, Bungalow 8 is gaining more and more popularity. So it’s a no brainer that their menu has been amped up.
Half Dozen Natural Oysters $23
A great little plate of fresh ocean gems. Fresh and plump, these were an excellent way to start.
Tiki Sunrise $28
To complement our oysters we ordered a jug of Tiki Sunrise. Made with Ketel One Citroen Vodka, Aperol, Watermelon, Orange, Lemon, Raspberry & Soda. It’s very refreshing and perfect to match.
Crispy Squid Salad $20.50
Staying on a refreshing theme, we ordered this amazing salad. Full of fresh Thai Herbs, Mild Chilli, Grapefruit, Cashews and Vegetables, this was a pleasure on the taste-buds as it was on the eyes. The squid stayed nice and crispy, adding a meatiness to a very well balanced dish.
Peking Duck Tacos (3) $15
Yes, these were as amazing as they sound. Yes, I would order these again and again. YES, you should DEFINITELY get this. ‘Nuff said.
Slow Roasted Pulled Pork Burger $21
Oh how I love a good pork burger! The meat itself was soft and juicy with a nice spice to it.
The crunch from the onion rings and crispy slaw added a nice contrast to the tender meat and soft roll, so did the side of crisps.
With a killer menu and perfect location, Bungalow 8 also offer popular favourites like Jerk Chicken, Island Caeser Salad and Grilled Scotch Fillet.
My only regret – I really wish my stomach was bigger.
