Chandon is igniting the spark at the 2016 Rolex Formula 1™ Australian Grand Prix, with the race marking the official launch of its partnership with the McLaren Honda Formula 1™ team. Led by British F1™ legend Jenson Button and Spanish racing star Fernando Alonso, the glamorous sport was a perfect fit for leading sparkling wine brand Chandon.
In celebration of this we thought we would share these delicious Chandon cocktail recipes created by the racing stars themselves.
The Spark by Fernando
Spark by Fernando is a captivating drink. Vibrating just like his Spanish origins, this drink blends the spiciness of the pepper and the outstanding grapefruit flavour.
- Ice cubes to chill
- 10 ml Pink pepper berries syrup
- 40 ml Grapefruit juice
- 60 ml Chandon Brut
- 1 Chilli pepper
Chill the pink pepper syrup and the grapefruit juice in the mixing glass. Strain the mixture to a flute glass and then add Chandon Brut. Garnish with chilli pepper

Spark by Jenson is an original and elegant drink. A touch of innovation to the classic English drink “gin & tonic”, the perfect translation of an English gentleman into a drink.
Ice cubes to chill
20 ml dry Gin 5ml lime
1 tsp. Vanilla Sugar
120 ml Chandon Brut
Lemon Peel for garnish
In a Burgundy glass filled with ice, pour the gin, add lime juice and sugar. Mix lightly and fill with Chandon Brut. Twist the lemon peel and flame it over the glass using a blowtorch.
