Pelican Pavilion at the Collaroy Hotel, Collaroy

Pelican Pavilion, Collaroy

It’s hard to beat the gorgeous views of the Pelican Pavilion, uniquely positioned on the sand of Collaroy Beach. Sipping on one of their amazing smoothies makes you feel like you’re on holidays.

Open 7 days a week, the cafe is an enclosed deck on the sand with a unique and uplifting atmosphere, friendly staff and a small kids’ playground right on the beach, with baskets of sand toys so that kids can play as you dine, making it a pram/family friendly venue.

CocoJoy Coconut Smoothy $8 and ‘Vit C’ Juice $9.5

We started off with 2 great refreshing drinks: a coconut smoothie and a freshly squeezed juice, a perfect balanced blend of pineapple, watermelon and orange.

Pelican Pavilion

Fish Tacos $5.5

These were some of the best tacos I’ve ever had! A delicate and perfect mix of lettuce, barramundi, chipotle sauce, coriander and their famous chimichurri sauce.

Vitality Salad $21

This salad is packed with grains, nutrition and flavour! A fantastic option for vegetarians, this meal comes with a healthy dose of baby spinach, heirloom tomatoes, toasted grains (poppy seeds, sunflower seeds, pepita and paprika seeds), house-made salsa verde, quinoa, spiced sweet potato, avocado and persian feta (V and GF).

Fresh fish of the day, Market Price.

The ‘catch of the day’ was this deliciously fresh salmon, cooked to perfection, and accompanied by really tasty chips and a lovely delicate mixed greens salad with tomatoes and quinoa. Definitely a recommendation.
