With the hot summer days fast approaching quick and refreshing cocktails are a must have at sunny gatherings. While I’ll usually crack open a frosty Rochdale for its refreshing taste, I do enjoy being a little creative with my beverages, which is why our recipe for Pear Cider Moscow Mules is so kick ass!
Nothing beats that combo of Rochdale Cider’s pure crisp pear flavour mixed with the refreshing kick and tang of ginger beer. The flavours and fizz are so enjoyable it’s hard to believe how simple the recipe is. No complicated swirling, steeping, smoking or shaking here. Just pour and stir for this simple but awesome cocktail.
Pear Cider Moscow Mule Recipe (serves 1)
1 Shot vodka
1 Rochdale Pear Cider
Juice of 1 small lime wedge
Good quality ginger beer to top off (about 1/2 cup or so)
Various fruit garnishes
In an ice filled glass add the vodka and equal parts of Rochdale Cider and ginger beer. Stir well and garnish with strawberries and pears or other fruits.
