A Moveable Feast: Presented by Citi @ The Star, Pyrmont

One night, three restaurants, one course at each.

Our invitation read, “Let us take you on a journey of good food and wine at three of The Star’s most popular restaurants: The Century, Black by Ezard and Sokyo”. 

We were excited! Our meal started with a delicious selection of appetisers at The Century. Known for being one of the best Chinese restaurants in Sydney, each dish (and the countless glasses of champers) did well to get our stomachs into gear for the rest of the night. From plump dim sum’s to crispy squid, we were blown away with the sheer quality of The Century’s fare.

Next up was a short trip to the stunning Black by Ezard. A phenomenal establishment steeped in modern class. Our course was a moreish cut of grass fed beef, while lean, still had an incredible tenderness and flavour to it. A bone marrow jus took it to the next level of decadence.

Lastly, the course I had been looking forward to all night was dessert at Sokyo. If you haven’t been to Sokyo yet I suggest you make a reservation pronto. This place is hot hot hot! Serving the last course of the night in the form of a drool worthy Yuzu & White Chocolate Cheesecake. The combo of creamy and zesty were a perfect palate cleanser and end to a fantastic night.

Each delicious course was perfectly matched with a different wine from the outstanding selection of McWilliam’s Wines.

Lightly battered cubed eggplant with house made sweet soy
Cold cut cucumber with sesame and vinaigrette

Steamed mixed enoki and shitaki crystal dumpling in a clear dumpling skin
