Yuzu Ramen $15
An interesting and definitely unique ramen that I’ve never come across until now. A testament to Chase’s culinary wizardry and a personal favourite of his, the clear savoury broth breathes fresh and zesty aromas followed by the mouthwatering smell of a light chicken and katsuobushi dashi stock.
The Spicy Miso Tantanmen $16
The Spicy Miso Tantanmen had a chilli kick that was terribly tasty with it’s moreish chilli meat and seafood stock. Every ramen comes with a juicy and tender slice of pork and a marinated egg which soak up all the gloriously rich flavour.
Mai-San’s karage chicken $9
Seriously some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. The crispy golden pieces were a clash of textures with the crunch from the coating and the soft tenderness of the meat. To top that off was a spicy mayo for copious drippings and a fresh and zesty yuzu dressed salad.
Gyokai Rui Tonkotsu Ramen $16
The creamy pork, chicken and seafood dashi was thick and rich, topped with shallots and black fungus. This was easily the table favourite, and I was definitely loving the soft boiled egg that made this ramen ever more rich and creamy.
Kyoto Shoyu Ramen $15
This steaming bowl made with chicken dashi, pork back fat and bean sprouts was really something else. The silky noodles were cook to perfection.
Yuzu pop soda $5
A fresh, tart and tingling sensation on your tongue, this home made soda was the perfect accompaniment to Chase’s tasty dishes.
Chase’s steaming bowls of goodness are flying out of their little multi-coloured pop-up at a phenomenal rate, and as you can see from the above its well deserved. Get in quick Sokyo Ramen before this pop-up is no more!
