Life is for deep kisses, strange adventures, midnight swims, rambling conversations and LOTS and LOTS of dessert. And what better type of dessert than these guilt free indulgences.
Pana Chocolate, founded in Melbourne, is vegan, gluten free, dairy free and soy free, handmade from raw, organic ingredients with no refined sugar.
“A chocolate that made people stop, if only for a moment, to enjoy a myriad sensations: cacao melting on the tongue, surprising bursts of citrus or herb, the sweetness of agave, the character of coconut; a sophisticated chocolate that is at once smooth and textured, sweet and spicy.”
These luscious desserts are artfully hand crafted by skilful pastry and dessert chef’s and taste as good as they look. The cakes we indulged in were the Chocolate mint, Blueberry raspberry and mandarin, Choc Berry and Lime raspberry Caramel.
One bite of these delectable creations will have you questioning your beliefs – it’s almost inconceivable that something this good isn’t chockers full of fat. They taste that good. My favourite of our selection was the Blueberry, Raspberry and Mandarin slice which was a stunning little indulgent with tart and refreshing flavours.
Also popular are these Vespa Wheel’s (Pana Chocolate’s alternative to the Wagon Wheel). A delicious mix of a buckwheat wafer biscuit filled with a soft coconut and raspberry chia centre. Then skillfully dipped into cacao.
The home made chocolates were also absolute heaven including a Mint Chocolate, Caramel lava drop and Pink lemonade. You can really taste the abundance of quality raw products in these little treats with high cocoa percentages mixed with a cooling burst of mint or rich gooey caramel. The pink lemonade was just adorable with a sweet zesty flavour punch.
All these rich sweeties were balanced out by Pana’s delicious array of natural and cleansing teas. From comforting chocolate flavours to lively lemon grass they are the perfect accompaniment to the dessert heaven on our plates.
