Barnardos Progressive Dinner at Harbourside

In support of Barnardos Australia, we embarked on a progressive dinner across 4 venues within the Harbourside Shopping Centre complex. Barnardos Australia is Australia’s leading child protection charity working to stop child abuse and neglect. Every day there are more than 145 substantiated reports of child abuse and neglect. Barnardos are vital in strengthening communities and help families in crisis. They deal with violence, poverty, mental illness and homelessness.

To begin: pre drinks at CohiBar with a selection of fine cheeses.

Entrée: at Zaaffran, one of the best Indian restaurants in Sydney where we enjoyed a Zaaffran Sub Continental Teaser. This included Tandoor grilled minted king prawns, Smoked chicken tenderloin glazed with garlic, chilli and mustard, crisp beetroot cakes and wheat puff with spiced potatoes and a trio of sauces. Plus delicious mushroom and cheese roti’s.

Main: at Crinitis, we enjoyed a fusion of traditional and contemporary Italian dishes. This included a wide selection of pizzas, pastas and antipasto dishes. You name it, we had it.

Dessert: lastly we had a delicious salted caramel and chocolate tart for dessert at Cyren.

All these meals were made even better with fantastic wines supplied by the lovely people from Bunnamagoo Estate and Burnbrae Wines in Mudgee, NSW.
