Gelatissimo Central Park
It’s a bit ridiculous how much gelato I’ve eaten during the past few weeks thanks to the summer heat (my friends joke I should move in with penguins at Antarctica… not that I would mind).
My all-time favourite cocktail, the mojito, is featured at Gelatissimo as flavour of the month. Filled with chunks and chunks of caramelised lime wedges and sorbet. Altogether tangy and sweet the pure euphoria on my face must seem to say it all to the girl behind the counter who kindly gave me another scoop.
Pina Colada is also getting featured for flavour of the month. Richly creamy with an irresistible pineapple coconut punch. The only thing it was missing was the rum! (#GrogMonster)
I also found that the sweetness of the Pina Colada balanced with the sour Mojito was such a great combination, it was pretty addictive.
Most exciting news is that Vegemite Caramel Swirl has been recently released for Gelatissimo’s flavour for Australia day. To be honest, I was a bit reluctant and scared to try this one.
Surprisingly, it was really tasty without an overbearing flavour of Vegemite. Think salted caramel except the saltiness comes from the most loved Aussie spread. I was even tempted to go out and buy a jar of Vegemite if Gelatissimo hadn’t sent out a sample of this awesome gelato direct to me.
