Bills Bondi, Bondi Beach

As the website says “Every Bill Granger restaurant reflects the spirit we like to think of as ‘Australian’: sunny, easy-going and generous“…so where better to express this than Bondi Beach?

Bills has a simplistic yet sophisticated and classy decor, enhancing the relaxed beach vibes at Bondi. The service was extremely helpful and attentive.

Watermelon and Mint Frappe ($8)

Refreshing crushed watermelon with hints of mint. A perfect way to beat the summer heat!

Ricotta hotcakes, banana and honeycomb butter ($20)

“Oh my god, these are amazing” was literally the first thing that left my mouth after a bite into these beautiful fluffy babies.

I’ve never really been a big fan of pancakes but this is a real game changer.

Fried Calamari, green papaya, nuoc cham, herbs + crispy shallots ($23.50)

This was definitely a vietnamese inspired dish with the nuoc cham (adapted fish sauce) over the papaya as the dressing. The papaya was fresh with a chilli tang, perfect for summer. The fried calamari was soft with a light crisp batter.

Beef Shin mole, cauliflower rice, avocado, coriander and tomato salsa $27.50 (3 serves)

The beef shin mole was super saucy, flavoursome and soft. It would literally fall apart in your mouth. The cauliflower was an interesting variation in comparison to the standard rice.

This dish was basically a build-your-own-taco exercise, and squeezing that lime is pretty much the only exercise ill be getting this month.
