Food trucks! I chase these heavenly meals on wheels all over Sydney as an adult with the same enthusiasm as I did with Mr Whippy as a child. Today I had the pleasure of eating at one of my favorites, Eat Art Truck.
Serving up the goodies is Stuart McGill and Alejandro Saravia (cooking in places such as Tetsuyas, Sails on Lavender Bay, Fat Duck, Les Ambassadeurs, Salon Blanc) who’s menu is best described as progressive street food influenced by American BBQ flavours.
Crispy Frid Chicken Bun $12
The best thing about this was the amazing crunch the crumbing gives, accentuating the moist tender chicken it’s encasing. Packed into a soft white bun with fresh slaw and drizzled with tonkatsu sauce and spicy mayo.
8 Hour Hot Smoked Pulled Pork Bun $12
This gorgeous creation really bought the #fatmess out in me. Smokey and tender pulled pork is heavily packed into the soft bun with mustard cabbage and bourbon BBQ sauce. While it was a little messy to eat. It’s all worth it once you take that first bite. Add a side of the Eat Nachos with fire roasted capsicum, sweet corn, chickpeas and cheddar cheese for even more deliciousness.
