Located on Crown Street in Surry Hills, Stix Desert is the brain child of Isabella Chan and Veronica Chung.
The concept is simple. Pick your flavoured ice cream or sorbet from the range of options available in the freezer display. If you cant choose, and I myself found it difficult to decide on my favourite choice, you are able to taste test the flavours. Once selected, choose which type of chocolate you would like to have it dipped into – white, milk or dark are your choices. Next your toppings – there are about 8 or so options to choose from ranging from 100’s&1000’s, to shaved coconut, salted pretzels, Oreos or a variety of nuts.
I was very pleased with the generous amount of chocolate and toppings I got!
A wide variety of flavours are available from Pistachio, Green Tea, Hazelnut, Raspberry Sorbet, Salted Caramel, Banana, Mint Slice, Blood Orange Sorbet, Thai Milk Tea, Pink Grapefruit Sorbet, Coffee, Balsamic Strawberry, Vanilla, Pan Dan Coconut, Panacotta, Tiramisu, Apple Pie, Black Sesame and more!!!
A small little shop with limited seating, but a wide variety of options to choose from and very, very, very friendly staff who let you try all the flavours. A must try dessert option next time you are in Surry Hills.
