When we think of lazy weekend eats in the Eastern Suburbs the first place that springs to mind is Panama House. And late last year, this old favourite found its way into the hands of a new ownership team.
Sitting close to Bondi Beach, Panama house brings a modern fusion of Latin American food, celebrating the authenticity of its Pan-American culture together with an amazing cocktail menu. Think house made margarita’s, their famed veggie burger or their buttermilk fried chicken counterpart.
PH Bloody Mary
A spectacular brunch cocktail, this fiery beverage has the perfect balance of spice, topped off with a deliciously crunchy piece of bacon.
Black Angus chuck & brisket pattie, jack cheese, milk bun, lettuce, tomato and guajillo aíoli served with house fries. This beast of a burger really hit the spot with moreish beef and melted cheese.
Finally saving the best till last was this stunning creation. The crispy buttermilk chicken was so juicy, made even better by a good lathering of jalapeno, bacon maple syrup. The savoury pancakes were perfect for soaking up every ounce of flavour. Suffice to say we completely demolished this dish.
A second home for anyone who visits.
