Situated on a corner in Alexandria, COOH has expanded from its small humble roots in North Curl Curl, bringing its wholesome and organic dishes to the local community.
Upon entry, we were greeted with an amazing and lively atmosphere contained in a contemporary and spacious room. High ceilings, glass walls and an outdoor deck added to the calm atmosphere brimming with locals.
Now onto the food! We ordered a few items from their breakfast menu and a few items from their lunch menu as well as some of their new seasonal drinks for a variety.
Buckwheat Pancake 22
This Instagram-famous Buckwheat pancake from the breakfast menu was topped with a tropical mix of fruits and dairy free coconut yoghurt. The pancake was fluffy in texture and blended extremely well with all the fresh fruits provided. It definitely exceeded our expectations with the taste and aesthetics of the dish.
Mexican Eggs 18
The Mexican Eggs, also from the breakfast menu, was baked to perfection. Smoked house beans with jalapenos and cheese. The generous serving of sour cream and avocado salsa of the sides was a big bonus, making the dish wholesome and filling.
Now onto our personal favourite from the lunch menu, the Seared Tuna Salad!
Seared Tuna Salad 25
The tuna was amazingly soft and tender! Definitely one of the best tasting dishes we’ve had for a long time.
The seared tuna crusted with spice was plated elegantly on a mix of jalapeno salsa and avocado jalapeno mayo with spiralised salad on the side.
Hand cut chips 7
Who doesn’t love the classic chips as a side? COOH delivered exceptional results again with their classic hand cut chips with vegan aioli.
COOH also has a wide range of delicious cakes for those who feel like something sweet. With vegan cakes such as the Passionfruit Cheesecake on offer, the flavour of their cakes were very fresh, filling and guilt-free!
Pitaya and Chia Power Smoothie 8.50
We also were fortunate to try their Pitaya and Chia Power smoothies which were nutritious and very delicious.
Overall, we had a fairly positive experience dining at COOH and it brings no surprise as to why this cafe is always so busy and packed!
