Beer DeLuxe, King Street Wharf

Beer DeLuxe is one of the best places to eat and drink internationally and locally crafted beers in town. We arrived for dinner on a Friday evening and the pub downstairs was already packed with locals and tourists. We had a lovely table upstairs that offered a gorgeous view of Sydney Harbour.

Beer DeLuxe is all about experiencing a beer that you’ve never tasted before. We were wowed by the wide variety of local and imported craft beer to choose from. To prove it, Beer DeLuxe actually has a special Beer Bible printed out in a booklet explaining the Lager from the Wheat, the Golden and the Pales to the Darks and Ambers, the list goes on. All up, Beer DeLuxe pride themselves on showcasing an ever-changing lineup of more than 150 varieties.

With the impressive line up of local breweries, we went with two local beers from Victoria – Bridge Road Pale Ale and Cheeky Peak Lemon & Cider. They were delish.

For one of the mains, you have to try their burgers. The Deluxe Burger served with a generous double beef pattie, lettuce, cheese, bacon and onion was the bomb. The mayonnaise and deluxe sauce were just perfect. Did we mention the handcut deluxe chips (so crunchy and yum) were to die-for?

The bar menu at Beer DeLuxe has been created to share, tapas style and is all about enjoying your food without having to put your beer down. Which we truly love.

The Pork Belly glazed in Lime Caramel was a winning combination. The crunch of the sweet glazed crackling and succulent meat was perfect.

The Beef with Pickle Sliders were too cute to eat! The brioche buns and good quality beef patties made the sliders out of-this-world.

We also had the Grilled Barramundi Fillet with couscous, rocket and pumpkin salad. Easily my favourite seafood dish.

The Fried Squid with Espelet Pepper, served with Lime Mayo was one of Sydney’s best. The batter was just light and squid deep fried to perfection.

Overall, Beer DeLuxe is definitely one of my top 5 favourite bars to hang out with my friends after a day’s work. The wide selection of local breweries and delicious out-of-this-world share meals will keep me coming back for more. Great atmosphere and vibes.
