Bloodhound Espresso is located at 230-232 Palmer St Darlinghurst. The main purpose of the café is to essentially provide a family friendly space that provides simple high quality food and beverages. Their professionalism in regards to service and food knowledge is also extremely refreshing.
Bloodhound uses a variety of Single Origin beans that change frequently. The temperature of the coffee was just about perfect and very smooth.
Food wise, like mentioned previously, Bloodhound aims to do the simple comfort foods perfectly. We consumed 3 dishes on this particular visit: The Bloodhound Signature beans, Avo Toast and Homemade Muesli.
Bloodhound roast their own Muesli which should not be overlooked. The muesli is slightly softer than traditional muesli and is served still slightly warm. Paired with the fresh summer fruits and yoghurt and you definitely have a healthy and extremely tasty breakfast.
Avo Toast – A staple dish on any breakfast menu, but one that is incredibly important as it reveals a lot about your café. Bloodhound’s version is great. The toasted pinenuts add a great bite to the dish and compliments the other ingredients well. All the toppings are fresh and the bread is a great consistency and temperature. A worthy addition to the menu.
Bloodhound Signature Baked Beans – A hearty signature dish with great spice elements. Loved every part of this dish, and definitely one you would happily order again and again. With colder weather around the corner, this is exactly what the doctor ordered.
Overall Bloodhound serves its purpose. A café with consistency and warmth. You know what to expect every time and it’ll never let you down. Good job guys!
