Canberra has long moved past being the land of ‘school excursions’ and has moved into an age of thriving and trendy hotels, delicious eateries, and genuinely exciting experiences. With this in mind we decided on a road trip down. Because, why not?
Accommodating us on our short and fun little trip was the newly refurbished Hotel Kurrajong. Originally opened in 1926, this beautiful hotel features a beautiful Garden Pavilion, 147 guest rooms including terrace rooms and suites, free 24 hour wifi, a 24 hour gym and a superb new restaurant. All this in a perfectly central location close to Parliament House, The Australian War Memorial, Questacon, National Zoo & Aquarium, various museums, restaurants and shopping centres.
Walking into the lobby, the refurbished Hotel Kurrajong exudes a unique style and charm. It’s old school charm and elegance with a stylish and contemporary twist. After quickly and efficiently checking in we made our way to our Executive Suit room.
Opening the door we were blown away at the beautiful decor. Clean cut, modern and stylish our 44 sqm room hosted a huge range of fantastic features and amenities including:
