Ribs and Burgers, the name says it all, offering the best of both worlds plus many more.
The first thing you notice about Ribs & Burgers is the emphasis on the decor which really makes this place stand out from the rest. The restaurant offers a modern but casual dining experience that resembles a boutique butcher, which is very fitting because these guys are serious about their meat.
The bar serves a wide range of beverages from soft drinks, juices and thick shakes to a delicious selection of beers and wines. You can even indulge yourself with a cheeky alcoholic drink smuggled into your thick shakes by the sneaky bar tenders if you’re looking for something sweet with a kick, or if you’re sick of your kids winging all day shopping and you need need a little something to block it out.
White Chocolate and Raspberry / Bourbon Cookie $10
Sailor Jerry Rum, white chocolate syrup and raspberries blended with a lot more ice cream than milk / Wild Turkey American Honey, choc chip cookies and dark chocolate sauce blended with a lot more ice-cream than milk
The blend of ice-cream and white chocolate is smooth and creamy followed by a sweet tart kick from the raspberries and heady woodiness of the rum. We also treated ourselves to the Bourbon cookie which was rich, creamy and had tonnes of chunky, crunchy pieces of choc chip cookies. Seriously decent stuff!
Chicken Wings with Chilli Sauce $9.50
For starters, we couldn’t say no to the spicy chicken wings. The tender bites were cooked to perfection topped with a spicy chilli sauce and a side of ranch dipping sauce to counter the heat. These little beauties encompassed every meaning of the phrase ‘finger lickin’ good’…
Double Falafel Patty with chips $13.00
The falafels were freshly fried giving a crispy crunch that contrasted their delightfully soft and fluffy insides. A squeeze of lemon gave a tangy touch to these already mouth watering morsels.
Pork Spare Ribs with sticky soy chilli peanut served with rocket salad $28.50
Wow, not your ordinary baby back ribs, these bad boys were smothered with a sticky soy sauce and topped with chilli dusted peanuts. The 8 hour slow cooked ribs were succulent, moist and slid off the bones with a quick ease. The spicy nuts added a welcomed crunch to the mix, while the rocket salad cut the richness of the meal with its peppery freshness.
Butcher’s Choice Burger $17.50
This mammoth of a burger may need to be compressed a little for a single bite as it was loaded with premium Wagyu beef mince, baby coz, tomato, Spanish onion, dill pickles, crispy onion rings and BBQ sauce. My favourite part was the generous handful of fried onions that gave a pleasant crunch to the soft cloud like buns. The sensational taste of beef was a clear representation of quality Wagyu mince. All in all a killer burger.
