Bastille Day is celebrated on The French National Day, commemorating the storming of the Bastille and the beginning of the French Revolution on 14th July 1789. So if you can’t be in France to celebrate, we put together a list of our top places to visit (as the next best thing).

Oooh là là.. celebrate at The Gantry all week long!
The Gantry is offering a Parisian pairing package with a selection of gourmet French cheeses, meats, fruits, and of course freshly baked baguettes. The historic Paris pâtisserie Laduree’s famous salted caramel Macaroons will be available for Gantry guests to indulge on while they sip on a special Liberte Lillet cocktail.
Guests are invited to the island bar to sip away the wintery hours watching the ever changing life of Sydney’s harbour. And in true French flare, a live Pernod Absinthe Fountain is on offer for an additional $10 per person. The Parisian pairing package is priced at $50 per couple.

Wednesday 8th July: Les Oysters Et Champagne. A glamorous night filled with the freshest oysters shucked on the spot and served alongside matching French Champagnes.
Thursday 9th July: Vin Fromage. An evening of fine french wine and Simon Johnson cheese tasting. $80pp includes 4 cheeses and 4 wines.
Friday 10th & Saturday 11th July: Carte Blanche. Open til late so you can enjoy bubbles at the bar, sip on cocktails until the early hours and feast on the finest French cuisine.
Sunday 12th July: Champagne de Brunch. You have never seen a brunch like this. Prepare to feast and mingle as you enjoy a unique roaming style, French inspired buffet. $69pp includes roaming brunch, $50pp optional 2 hour bottomless Moet Champagne.
Monday 13th July: Menu Du Marche. Celebrate on the eve of Bastille Day with an opulent 3 course dinner. An unforgettable dinner priced at $60 where you can raise a glass of Champagne and toast in Bastille Day. Includes 3 course dinner.
Tuesday 14th July: Bastille Diner Somptueux. Enjoy a lavish seven-course dinner specifically designed to take your taste-buds on a tour through France. $180pp includes 7 course dinner and matched wines.
Cottage Point Inn Restaurant, Cottage Point
Why not visit the waterside, fine dining restaurant, Cottage Point Inn for a delectable French three course feast.
Following a complimentary Pastis or Kir Royale, the three-course set menu begins with a choice of Foie Gras Brioche or Creamy Shellfish Bisque. Following, a main of either Blue Eye Trevalla A La Grenobloise or a Beef Cheek Bourguignon. Finish with your choice Chestnut Tart or a Crème Catalan Parfait. A Cheese Course is an optional supplement. Cést Bon!

Celebrating Bastille Day for a week.
To celebrate Bastille Day, the Champagne Room is celebrating by bringing a touch of France to their menu. Enjoy a fabulous 3 course French inspired set menu put together by Head Chef Samuel Bull for only $45pp. For $55 enjoy a glass of Champagne on arrival before your meal.
