Bruce Leaves you satisfied.
Bruce Leaves: a nondescript salad bar on the outside, an incredibly unique experience on the inside.
With words like superfood and salad you may think this is just another fad shop, but their offerings convey so much more – the food here is absolutely incredible. Let me start by saying, I am delighted I was able to attend their media event and would happily go out of my way to visit again in the not-too-distant future.
There are images and figurines of Bruce Lee plastered everywhere inside; they certainly carried the theme through – talk about dedication. When we arrived the food production line was already going strong, the salad bar was stacked with drinks and everyone was chatting away.
The chicken banh mi was the first food item I tried and while, it’s not your traditional taste, it was delicious; so much so that I ended up eating three through the course of the night. The coconut and vanilla smoothie with hazelnut vodka was a beautifully sweet drink I would’ve gladly sipped away at all night.
There were mini grilled miso salmon san chow baos, satay beef meatballs, haloumi banh mi, and pork dumplings; you bet I tried and loved all of them. The trays barely made it over the counter before they were cleared each time.
When the beers and wine started to dry up we helped ourselves to the goodies in the fridge; apple juice, lemonade, and since none of the bloggers have had kombucha before we all grabbed a bottle. Buyer beware: the longer you leave kombucha on the table the more alcoholic it becomes.
My advice to you is to get down to Bruce Leaves as soon as you can. Go out of your way to try it out.
