The Dragon Boat Chinese Restaurant has been established at Darling Harbour for a number of years and they continue to maintain their high quality modern Asian Cuisine. We had a rich selection of signature dishes to enjoy with harbour views and were lucky enough to be entertained by a street vocalist.
Homemade Peking Duck
Who could resist ordering peking duck at a Chinese restaurant? This homemade delight is super juicy wrapped in a pancake and full of flavour.
Scallops in Garlic Sauce
Another full-flavoured dish, the scallops were plump and soft with a full flavoured and fragrant seasoning.
Prawn Meat stuffed into Eggplant
I loved the spongy texture of the prawn meat which complemented the soft texture of the lightly fried eggplant. The sweet chilli sauce added a nice sweet and spicy kick.
Special Minced Pork stuffed into Egg Roll
This bite-size entree was absolutely delectable, covered in a moreish savoury sauce that oozed flavour – I wish I had more.
King Prawn Mushroom with Black Pepper Sauce
This was my favourite dish of the night. One huge mushroom was perched on succulent prawn meat and a light but spicy black pepper sauce.
Peking Duck Fried Rice and Dragon Boat Special Pork Dumpling
Fried rice – the Asian staple. Using the Peking Duck from earlier, the fried rice was extra tasty and fragrant. Paired with dumplings was genius and scrumptious indeed.
Mango Sticky Cake
Another homemade treat that had a chewy texture and wasn’t overly sweet. Delicious, served with a warming pot of fragrant Chinese tea.
