Sunny summer afternoons are always a great occasion for a booze fuelled dining experience. So it was very convenient to be invited to the Launch of Hugos Manly Deck.
Our evening commenced with a private Veuve Clicquot harbour cruise departing from the Man O War Steps at 6pm. Fancy!
Once aboard the stunning cruiser we were warmly greeted with a trademark orange flute of Veuve Clicquot brimming with the decadent bubbles. #ImOnABoatMotherF$%&@r
While cruising and boozing away we were keeping it classy, indulging in freshly shucked pacific oysters to match our bubbly untill we finally arrived at our beautiful Manly location.
Stepping out we were welcomed by the sight of the newly renovated deck. Open, stylish and very inviting, the deck looks and feels like the perfect fit for Manly dining, taking advantage of the breathtaking scenery.
Hiramasa Kingfish Carpaccio
A beautiful dish full of fresh and vibrant flavours. The expertly sliced kingfish is drizzled in a spicy citrus dressing then adorned with dollops of creamy avocado mousse, peppery radish and finally a scattering of black caviar.
Yamba King Prawns
Simple and fresh, the giant prawns are grilled with chilli and fresh lemon juice. A perfect dish for the seaside setting.
Pan-fried Ocean Trout
More from the seafood options, the fish is seared to a crisp skin side while staying moist and flaky on the inside. Served with a delicious pea puree which brings a unique sweetness to the rich fatty fish, while the asparagus adds a lovely crunch.
A half and half pizza showcasing two of Hugos most popular pizzas. The first was Slow Roasted Pork Belly with Sweet & Sour Onions, Radicchio and Buffalo Mozzarella and the second was Fresh Figs, Crispy Pancetta, Gorgonzola, Tomato and Basil. Both pizzas had amazing flavour combos on a thin and crispy base.
We would like to thank the Hugos Group and Veuve Clicquot for a really great night full of fantastic food, drink and people.
