The Night Hawk Diner was founded by Chefs Al and Jim who spent years in hatted Sydney restaurants and both of which share a serious love for American cuisine and American dining culture.
They say their product is “Non-bastardized, handmade simplicity – all ingredients including the bun, made from scratch”… So it’s these words that cause me to seek out The Night Hawk Diner. Famous for it’s easy and delicious take on American inspired food, I was keen for a try of these savoury delights.
Cuban Sandwich $12
An absolutely mouth watering sandwich. Firstly, I couldn’t get over just how soft these buns were, like two perfectly, fluffy clouds encasing the delicious insides of deli meat, cheese, pickles, and marinated pulled pork. Also comes with a side of creamy potato salad. Top stuff!
The Nighthawk Diner’s fit out allows the team to alter their menu as they see fit, giving life to re-worked diner classics like their cheeseburger and milkshake offering.
Check out this mobile diner all around Sydney or in their permanent location, The Nighthawk Underground, situated in the basement of Play Bar.
