The Wedge? Like, they sell wedges? So, why is it called The Wedge?
Arriving at the cafe, it became very clear why. Located right across from Glebe Markets, The Wedge Espresso hosts bar-styled seats facing out the window for open space and cool air, as well as small tables against the wall.
Chicken + Leek Sandwich
“Guys, I’m going to be risky today and order something even though there’s not a picture of it on instagram”
“I guess you could say, you’re living life on the wedge” HA! (…sorry)
Made with confit leek and onion, shredded chicken, mayo, mustard and rocket, there’s a generous amount of moist chicken that goes really well with the crusty sour dough.
Meet Henry. An eligible bachelor for your hungry stomach made with smashed egg, double smoked ham, avocado, smoked chipotle mayo, basil and rocket on sourdough. Usually Henry is served with panini instead of sourdough but sadly, they were out that day. Even so, it was simply delicious! The egg oozing onto the ham was heaven in my mouth!
And finally the Herbie. Filled with a range of delicious herbs and vegetables to keep you going, this is an excellent bite for those veggos on the go.
